every time i see asian ppl go on this “well we cling to black american culture cuz we feel separated from our own” shit i really have to roll my eyes because i legitimately can not fathom how that’s supposed to make me or anyone black care like. at all. Black americans are literally demonized globally for participating in OUR OWN culture while everyone else gets to use it as a way to ‘find themselves’ or whatever. We grow up being bullied and punished in every way possible for everything even remotely connected to our culture. we aren’t allowed to ‘find ourselves’ in our own culture let alone other people’s cultures so yall better find something else to say.
